STANDING!!!

Big Changes in the Mac house this week. Grace went from sleeping in a crib to having her own Montessori room! She has a floor bed and a totally safe room which she can explore. These are some pictures of her last night in her crib. They were actually taken before our big trip to Ohio. Once we got back she went into her new Montessori room and the crib is now empty. 

Grace's new room the first night she spent in it! She loves the mirror. It took her a couple days to figure out that you fall asleep on the mattress not on the floor but tonight she went to bed, on her bed! YAY! If she does fall asleep on the floor we just go in and move her onto her bed and then she sleeps until its time to get up! We have noticed an amazing different in the time she wakes up! She used to get up at 6 every morning, but the last couple days have been 7:30/7:45ish. woohooo!!!

Fall is here! We have our decorations out. We tried not to put out a bunch of our Halloween stuff until after Grace's birthday. We dont want her special day getting drowned out by Halloween.

The Little Gym Practice with Daddy. Mommy was able to come this week and take pictures! Grace is getting so close to walking. She now walks holding just one hand.

Uncle Taylor came over for a little Grace time and of course some yummy chili! Grace showed him her new room and he was totally impressed!

 We LOVE that Grace eats all regular food now and even more exciting she eats whatever it is we are eating. It makes cooking a lot easier and it forced Daddy and Mommy to eat veggies and fruit with dinner so Grace will have some healthy stuff on her plate. Sometimes dinner is messy so its a good thing bath time comes right after meal times on most days. This night Grace had lasagna. It was a HIT! I can always tell how good the meal was based on how messy she is! hehe

 

 

Our BIG exciting moment of the week. Grace is STANDING! She can stand for as long as she likes, we have seen her do it over a minute. It is so exciting to see this girl just chilling standing up. She holds baby's, holds the balls, etc. So proud of this little girl. Honestly we would be proud if she was still laying on her belly not rolling over, but it is amazing to see her healthy and developmentally where she needs to be. 11 months and already standing on her own. WOW!

 

Mommy is getting very excited about Grace's first birthday coming up planning where her photos will be taken. J-pa is bringing his super fancy camera and we are going to visit 4 or 5 different outdoor locations trying to get 1 or 2 good shots at a place. One of the new things Mommy bought was this cool flooring. We tested out some pictures with Grace tonight and they look good! I can't wait to see how they come out with J-pa's great eye and great camera!

Sweet Grace,

I love you so much. I feel like you are growing so quickly I can't keep up! It is amazing to watch your personality come through. You love laughing. Anytime Daddy or I laugh you will laugh too, you just want to be included. You love when I hold you and Daddy chases us through the house. You laugh and laugh and laugh watching him come after us. You are very clear on what you like these days, pointing fingers, signing more and your favorite "all done" it has been interesting as you have learned to use that sign in other situations then eating. You now tell me when you are "all done" driving in the car and when we are out visiting friends and you are ready to  head home you start signing "all done". I just love your strength and determination. Even when that comes through in a screaming temper tantrum because I wont let you climb up the stairs (yes that happened this week.... on a play date) You amaze me sweet girl. I can feel myself tearing up thinking about how you will be a year next week. I love you with all of my heart, you fill spaces in me that I did not know were empty. All my love.
