FATHER's DAY, 16 lbs and 6/9 month clothes

I can't believe she finally made it to 16 lbs! Daddy and I were just talking this morning on our walk how something has happened in the last week with Grace's growing. She is still small, but her body is changing to look much more like a toddler and much less like an infant! All the 3/6 month clothes are now put away and the 6/9 month clothes fit perfectly. She is now wearing things that I was pretty sure she would NEVER grow into. But what do you know.. she made it into the 6/9 month clothes with a whole month before she "should" out grow them! However the 6/9 month clothes say 16-21 lbs... so I am thinking we will be in them for a while! Moving, moving, moving... it is getting hard to keep up with this girl! Here are some shots from different days this week in the playroom.

This week we wished Aunt Jen a safe move to Charlotte! We will miss her very much, but we know she is only 3 hours away. We already have plans to stop by in July on our way to Mimi and J-pa's! While Aunt Jen was over we did a fun art project... BODY PAINTING. Yes I know, I am crazy. We used flour, water, and food coloring and Grace had a blast. By the end I am pretty sure she was painted everywhere. Notice how they only place with no paint is that beautiful bow. This girl knows what things are important!

Our secret Father's Day gift, a stepping stone for the Garden with Grace's footprint. A good friend suggested that we make one each year and have a stepping stone garden, I like that idea! Daddy was surprised, and he LOVED it!

Another day's activity time! It was supposed to be "sink or float" but it turns out all the items Mommy picked out floated... so instead we did "Mommy puts the orange ball in" "Grace takes the orange ball out" hehe. We had a great time, and of course Grace loved putting it ALL in her mouth!

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY DADDY!!!! We had such a wonderful day. Pictures before church of Daddy and Grace on the swing on our front porch, picking up Ben and taking him for a picnic at Bond Park, meeting up with Uncle Taylor and going to explore a newly opened park in Cary with lots of water fountains and a yogurt shop! Gabe, you have turned into an amazing Father. I always new you would be... but it is an entire other thing to see it in action. You truly are Grace's first love. We love you so much.

Sweet thing you make my heart sing! Putting you in big girl clothes makes it strike home how big you really are getting. Even though I will always love, cherish, and maybe even miss your baby phase, it is so exciting now to see how much more you can do! You are so entertaining now! It is so fun to interact with you, watch you learn new things, and even listen to you make yourself laugh, which you do often. I love you sweet girl.
xoxo
