Crawling & Finger Food

This week we purchased a walker for Grace. Our main reason was we needed to have something we could move around that was easy to set her in so she didn't get hurt while we did other tasks. For example... going to the restroom! Now that she pulls up we have to watch her all the time. She has already gotten a couple bumps on that beautiful head of hers... and we are trying to prevent them as much as possible. It is hard to keep her safe, she is just so independent and always moving. Even when I am right here!

We rearranged the playroom this week. Good bye little tummy time playmate. Hello transportation vehicles, gross motor space and fine motor space! We are a girl on the move and now our playroom is more appropriate!

Our crib has also been lowered. The bumper was taken out for a day but is now back in the crib. I heard this awful nose from her crib, thought a wild animal was in there running about and realized it was Grace banging her head on the side of the crib trying to find her pillow! She usually fold the bumper in half and lays her head on it, needless to say we put the bumper back in.

In order to earn some extra income while I am lucky enough to stay home with Grace I work with a boy named Ben 4 times a week. Ben has down syndrome so we work on life skills and social interactions. This week we made sushi at our house! Ben loves sushi!

BANANAS! They were a hit, although really slimy and hard to pick up, once they are in her mouth she smiles BIG!

My child finally has hair back! When Grace was born she had so much hair, and she kept it for a long time! Then once she started rolling around most of the back fell out! She still had a line of hair at the base of her head and a tuft on top, but the rest was gone! Now it is coming back and it is beautiful white blonde. She is really starting to look that next stage, not a baby anymore!

This is how Grace sits most of the time when she is crawling and wants to play with something. She sits back on those feet, it is so cute. As for the crawling she is now crawling on her knees 85% of the time. Belly crawling is really only used in an emergency when she has to get somewhere FAST! hehe

Peas... not a favorite.

Well sunshine. You make me smile everyday. You are really starting to talk, A LOT! You call me mamamama and you call Daddy babababa, so this week I am going to try calling daddy, daddy instead of GaBE... I must really pronounce that B sound. I love you sweet girl. We will try some new finger foods that aren't peas. I promise!
